Uniform Policy



Unified Dress Code


David Lawrence Jr. K-8 Center has a Mandatory Unified Dress Code Policy for all students attending our school.  We believe that this Dress Code Policy promotes safety, improves behavior, and enhances the learning environment.

All students should demonstrate personal pride and maintain a neat appearance.  Our Unified Dress Code consists of the following:

BOTTOMS: Trouser/Docker/Cargo style pants, shorts, capris, skorts
COLORS: Navy Blue, and Tan Khaki

*No sweat pants or shorts, or sweat-like material
*No athletic pants or shorts (i.e. - basketball shorts, soffes, etc.)
*Secure and worn at the waist
*Solid colors only
*Shorts and skorts reach mid-thigh in length
*No jeans
*No stretch or tight pants or shorts



TOPS: Polo, or School logo Polo and T-shirts
COLORS: Navy Blue, Light Blue, and White

*Shirts must be tucked in
*Logo Polo and T-shirts may be purchased from PTA
*Plain white T-shirts are not acceptable

Sweatshirts and jackets may not be worn to cover uniform shirts.



ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

No sweat wrist or head bands will be worn during the school day.
Writing on school uniforms is not permitted.
PE shorts or shirts are not to be worn in place of school uniforms.
Friday Spirit Shirts are to be worn on Fridays only.
No sandals, slippers, slides or flip flops.
